Keiron Printing Technologies is a spin-off from TNO in collaboration with HighTechXL. We are developing printing equipment, using laser-based technology that has been researched at Holst Centre for 10+ years.

The system:
The system contains a laser with scanning mirrors, a stage, cameras, and several other critical modules, which are controlled using a PC based architecture. Main programming language is C#. The equipment will be installed in a fully automated production environment where an operator still interacts with the system.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and innovative Mechatronics Engineer to contribute to the development and optimization of our revolutionary printing equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in integrating mechanical, electronic, and control systems to ensure the seamless operation of our LIFT (Laser-Induced Forward Transfer) technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Mentality: Take a hands-on approach to prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring the successful implementation of mechatronic systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, and Researchers, to achieve seamless integration of mechatronic components.
Control System Design: Contribute to the design and implementation of control systems, ensuring precision and reliability in the printing process.
System Integration: Support the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems to create a cohesive and efficient printing equipment system.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of mechatronic systems, ensuring they meet quality and performance requirements. This also requires strong problem-solving skills in addressing any deviations from the specified requirements.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, assembly instructions, and technical reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system performance and production efficiency, and implement solutions to optimize the integration and validation process.
Team Collaboration: Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Share knowledge, communicate effectively, and foster a positive and productive team dynamic to achieve our common goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: • Proven experience in mechatronic system design and integration, preferably in the printing. Proficiency in control system design and implementation
- Hands-on mentality: • The ability to prototype and troubleshoot effectively.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
