Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the operations delivery team and will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Rocsys equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States. You will conduct training at the customer facilities, remotely monitor operational performance, and be the key contact person for support and development to improve Rocsys’ performance on-site. Duties will also include equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair as needed. The position will require up to 20% overnight travel within the US, with occasional training opportunities in the EU.
In this position, you:
- Provide ongoing customer support by monitoring and diagnosing equipment through remote digital interfaces
- Troubleshoot issues with a team of engineers in an on-call rotation utilizing customer service line and ticketing system
- Carry out or support installation and commissioning at the customer’s site
- Execute on-site equipment service and maintenance
- Train the customer on using and maintaining Rocsys equipment
- Train and support our local service partners throughout North America
- Maintain, prepare and ship spare parts inventory
- Document your findings to create and improve operator and maintenance manuals
- Share your findings with the development team for product optimization
Job Requirements
- Based in Los Angeles, CA
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Minimum associates degree in a technical field; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with installing industrial equipment (charging infrastructure is a plus)
- Experience in mechanical and electrical equipment troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Experience with basic software and connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret basic data logs
- Experience with technical documentation, including CAD drawings
- Structure in your work and communication
- Good communication skills and ability to multitask
- The ability to read and write in English
- A valid driver’s license and US passport
- TWIC card (or ability to obtain immediately upon hiring)
