The role
We are seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to lead the development of high-impact commercial relationships across the long-duration energy storage ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of market strategy, customer engagement, and project origination, with responsibility for translating Ore Energy’s technology and value proposition into bankable commercial opportunities.
You will work closely with utilities, grid operators, developers, EPCs, and large energy users to identify and advance projects from early engagement through to signed offtake agreements. Acting as the primary commercial interface, you will integrate market insight, regulatory awareness, and customer needs to shape go-to-market strategy, inform product development, and accelerate deployment at scale.
Key responsibilities
• Build and manage strategic relationships with key ecosystem players, including utilities, grid operators, developers, EPCs, and large energy users
• Identify, initiate, and lead the development of commercial project opportunities
• Own the customer journey from initial engagement through to signing offtake agreements, coordinating internal stakeholders as needed
• Provide structured market and customer insights to inform product design, deployment strategies, and commercial positioning
• Monitor regulatory trends, competitive dynamics, and long-duration storage adoption to guide go-to-market strategy
• Act as the commercial bridge between external stakeholders and internal teams (product, R&D, finance), ensuring alignment around opportunities
• Oversee commercial opportunity tracking and reporting to support forecasting, resource planning, and prioritization of strategic engagements
• Represent Ore Energy at industry events, conferences, and targeted partner forums to build visibility and surface new opportunities
Your profile
• 5+ years of experience in the energy sector, ideally in roles involving partnerships, commercial sales, or market development
• Skilled in navigating sensitive commercial discussions and adapting communication style to stakeholder context
• Strong network within the energy ecosystem is a plus
• Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and acting as a bridge between external partners and internal teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of preparing and presenting customer-facing materials and proposals
• Proactive and hands-on working style, with a structured and independent approach
• Professional fluency in English; additional Dutch or German is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, engineering, energy systems)
