We are looking for an Operational Buyer who will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of materials to support our production and operations.

We develop cutting-edge fiber optic sensing solutions that help protect critical infrastructure and enable smarter monitoring in industries like energy and underwater security.

We are a fast-growing, international scale-up where hardware and software come together to solve complex, real-world challenges. Our teams work closely across engineering, production, and operations to bring high-impact technology from concept to deployment.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on execution, supplier coordination, and maintaining high data accuracy.

What will you do

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders based on ERP/MRP demand

• Verify pricing, lead times, and supplier terms before order placement

• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers

• Ensure on-time delivery and address potential delays early

• Identify and mitigate supply risks; escalate critical issues when needed

• Align closely with planning, production, and engineering on material needs

• Translate demand into actionable procurement plans

• Support prioritization in case of shortages

• Resolve supply disruptions, delivery deviations, and quality issues

• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Maintain regular communication with suppliers on order status and changes

• Negotiate practical aspects such as delivery schedules and partial shipments

• Ensure accurate data tracking and documentation in ERP systems

• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes

What we are looking for

• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or similar)

• Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Exact, Precoro, or similar)

• Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is a strong plus

• Familiarity with supply planning or production environments is beneficial

• We are currently only considering candidates already residing in the Netherlands (no relocation or work permit support)
