As we scale, we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our Commercial team in Rijswijk (40 Hours/week).
Job description
As our Sales Development Representative (SDR), your mission is to help build the commercial engine of Helin from the ground up. You won’t just be executing tasks - you’ll be actively shaping how we identify, engage, and qualify the right customers in a complex, B2B industrial environment.

You’ll become an expert in our ideal customer profiles, understand the challenges facing industrial operators, and develop personalized, insight-driven outreach strategies that resonate with key decision-makers.

This role combines the mindset of a business researcher, the creativity of a marketer, and the persistence of a sales pro. You'll work hand-in-hand with marketing, product, and AE’s to refine our messaging, understand product-market fit, and ensure a healthy, high-quality pipeline.

Your responsibilities:
  • Research and identify high-potential prospects in Helin’s target markets (e.g. Energy, Maritime, and Offshore)
  • Run multi-touch outbound sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn) to engage target accounts
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and events (*To be discussed and aligned with team)
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and pain points (based on SPICED-framework)
  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and ensure seamless handoff
  • Maintain accurate activity and lead data in HubSpot CRM
  • Work with marketing to give feedback on messaging and campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to improve outreach strategy and performance
  • Track KPIs and continuously improve based on insights and experimentation
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in a B2B SaaS SDR / BDR role
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Curious, structured, and self-motivated – you like to figure things out
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools
  • A commercial mindset – you're not just chasing leads, you’re thinking pipeline quality
  • Bonus: interest in energy, industrial IoT, or platform technology
