Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our Operations Team in Porto. This role combines hands-on technical work with quality assurance responsibilities across manufacturing, assembly, integration, and field operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating closely with engineering, product development, and field teams. This position offers strong growth opportunities and increasing responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures
Perform inspections, testing, and validation of systems during manufacturing, assembly, and integration phases
Manage nonconformities, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions
Collaborate with Operations and Installation Teams to ensure quality standards are met during on-site integration (including international wind farms)
Monitor and report key quality metrics and performance indicators
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable industry requirements
Work closely with engineering and product teams to improve product reliability and performance
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and quality reports
Support supplier and component quality evaluation when required
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across company workflows
Support ISO audits and certification processes
Required Qualifications
Degree or technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in quality control, testing, or manufacturing environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, failure analysis)
Hands-on experience with inspection and testing methodologies
Quality mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Proactive, responsible, and ownership-driven attitude
Good communication skills (internal and external stakeholders)
Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001) and certification processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Availability for occasional field work (including wind turbines and international travel)
Valid EU work permit
Experience in the wind energy sector or similar industries is a strong plus.
